About the Role:
The Procurement Intern will support the procurement and compliance teams in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. This role provides exposure to vendor management, contract administration, procurement processes, and reporting, while also allowing interns to contribute to process automation and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and evaluation of vendors based on pre-defined SOP criteria.
- Prepare standalone agreements (e.g., NDAs) and manage non-procurement contracts or letters.
- Administer the end-to-end process related to new vendor creation, data maintenance, and verification using Procure-To-Pay (P2P) SAP Ariba.
- Generate and prepare regular or ad-hoc reports for stakeholder evaluation, performance, and decision-making.
- Streamline and automate existing procurement processes to drive efficiency.
- Interface with user departments, providing advice, support, and information as needed.
- Perform other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Full-time matriculated student; internship must contribute to school graduation requirements.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Basic computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
- Ability to manage short-term tactical tasks and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data and documentation.
- Approachable, responsive, and comfortable working in a diverse workplace.
