Overview
Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy dedicated to solving complex infrastructure challenges around the world. As a Structural Engineering Intern within the Buildings team, you’ll spend 20 weeks working alongside experienced engineers on real projects shaping Singapore’s built environment. This internship offers meaningful exposure to multidisciplinary design work, cutting-edge engineering tools and the collaborative culture behind world-class buildings.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist engineers with structural analysis, design calculations and technical checks for a variety of building projects, including aviation, commercial and mixed-use developments.
- Support modelling and design work using engineering and BIM-related software such as ETABS, SAP2000, ProKon or similar tools.
- Help prepare documentation, reports and design deliverables under the guidance of senior team members.
- Work closely with architects, MEP teams and other disciplines to coordinate design information and resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to digital automation or optimisation tasks where relevant.

Requirements
- 3rd-year Civil Engineering undergraduate.
- Strong communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with structural analysis or technical software; coding skills (e.g., Python, Excel VBA) are a plus.
