Overview
Infineon’s Test Program team is offering a hands-on internship designed for students who want to apply technical skills to real engineering workflows. Guided by an experienced mentor, you’ll explore how advanced tools, automation, and AI can streamline test development processes within a global semiconductor leader. This placement is ideal for students who enjoy solving operational bottlenecks, building smarter dashboards, and improving engineering efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Break down and map the steps involved in test program development to identify gaps, delays, and workflow inefficiencies
- Build and automate configurable JIRA dashboards to help teams track progress, issues, and key metrics
- Develop proof-of-concept automation scripts or tools—using modern techniques including AI or generative AI—to boost workflow productivity
- Propose fresh ideas that simplify complex engineering processes and contribute to faster time-to-market
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through research, testing, and ideation
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python or Rust; familiarity with AI/ML concepts is a plus
- Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Curious, innovative, and eager to explore new technologies that can be applied to real business challenges
- Organized, analytical, and enthusiastic about workflow optimization and engineering operations
