Overview
This Facilities Engineering Internship offers a hands-on learning experience for students who want to understand how large-scale industrial facilities operate. You’ll work with experienced engineers on real projects involving critical equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, and building systems, while learning how sustainability, redundancy planning, and energy management guide modern facility operations. It’s an excellent opportunity to build practical engineering skills in a dynamic, real-world environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules for key facility systems
- Track and analyse utility usage to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy consumption and operational waste
- Contribute to engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
- Conduct site inspections and help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues
- Apply engineering principles to enhance reliability, safety, and equipment performance
- Work closely with contractors and internal teams to coordinate maintenance and project activities
Requirements
- Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering
- Strong interest in facilities operations, engineering systems, and sustainability
- Familiar with basic engineering or physics concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and able to manage tasks effectively
- Comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams and external partners
