Overview
Micron’s advanced manufacturing teams are seeking a curious, data-driven intern to support an exciting cross-functional initiative focused on AI-assisted problem solving. This internship places you at the intersection of engineering, analytics, and automation, where you’ll help transform raw equipment data into actionable insights. Working alongside production, hardware, process and planning specialists, you’ll play an active role in improving operational reliability and accelerating learning cycles across the fab.
Responsibilities
- Explore, train and validate AI models using large datasets from multiple sources, including tool alarms, SPC data and fault detection systems
- Build a model that interprets human-written ETI (Equipment Tracking Interface) logs and extracts clear, usable insights
- Support the integration of ETI with Microsoft Teams to automate incident validation workflows
- Analyze recurring equipment failure trends through correlation studies to uncover chronic issues and improvement opportunities
- Participate in hands-on investigations to understand where issues originate and propose data-backed solutions
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or a related analytics-focused discipline
- Strong problem-solving skills with a foundation in data analytics and programming
- Familiarity with NLP techniques or automation workflows is an added advantage
- Comfortable working with large datasets and connecting insights to real operational challenges
- Proactive, analytical, and excited to collaborate across multiple engineering teams
