Overview
Join ServiceSG as a Trainee and gain hands-on experience in public service delivery across multiple government agencies. As part of this program, you’ll work directly with citizens at ServiceSG Centres or ServiceSG@CC locations, assisting with both physical and digital government services. This traineeship helps build capabilities in service excellence, stakeholder engagement, and policy understanding while developing valuable soft skills for handling diverse citizen interactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist citizens with enquiries and transactions across government services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to help citizens navigate digital platforms independently.
- Facilitate applications for financial assistance, HDB services, passports, course registrations, and other public services.
- Maintain records, track service statistics, and update CRM systems for smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and escalate technical or policy-related issues to supervisors.
- Support daily centre operations and administrative tasks to maintain service quality.
- Rotate across centres and adapt to varying operational needs and schedules.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective communication in English; ability to converse in a second language is a plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities, and follow processes.
- Flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends, across multiple centre locations.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, or volunteer work is a plus but not required.
