Overview
This Protein Science Internship offers hands-on laboratory experience within a global biotechnology environment focused on biologics and cell and gene therapy development. You will support protein expression and purification work while learning how lab processes, documentation, and quality standards come together in real-world biotech operations. The role provides practical exposure to mammalian cell culture and downstream processing under experienced supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammalian cell culture tasks such as cell recovery, passaging, transfection, and routine maintenance
- Collect, analyze, and organize experimental data to support clear reporting
- Operate lab equipment including bioreactors and centrifuges while preparing buffers and reagents
- Support purification of recombinant proteins and antibodies using chromatography techniques
- Record, review, and maintain accurate experimental and purification documentation
- Assist in updating standard operating procedures based on lab work and observations
- Help manage laboratory instruments, including basic maintenance and checks
- Support additional laboratory tasks assigned by the supervising scientist
Requirements
- Currently holding or pursuing a degree in life sciences, bioengineering, chemistry, or a related field
- Some hands-on lab experience with protein or antibody work
- Basic familiarity with cell culture or protein analysis techniques
- Willingness to follow lab protocols and quality standards
- Able to work carefully, stay organized, and troubleshoot basic issues
- Comfortable working full-time shifts during the internship period
