Overview
Become a guardian of excellence in critical technology with an Engineering Quality Internship at Thales. You will join the Engineering Competence Centre, supporting the implementation of world-class quality processes for embedded software projects in Mobile Connectivity, IoT, and Automotive sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about international standards like ISO and ASPICE, ensuring the development of secure, reliable products that meet the highest regulatory requirements.
What You'll Get Out of This Internship
· Gain foundational experience in Software Quality Assurance within a global leader in critical digital identity and security technology.
· Learn about key industry standards and certification processes, including ISO 9001 and ASPICE.
· Develop practical skills in quality planning, audit support, anomaly tracking, and KPI monitoring for engineering teams.
· Contribute to real projects by assisting in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and preparing certificates of conformity.
· Build a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and process improvement in a multicultural, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in tracking project compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and support the preparation of Quality Plans.
· Support quality testing activities, including the observation of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
· Help monitor, document, and track anomalies, non-conformities, and improvement actions from postmortem sessions.
· Support preparation activities for certifications and assist in compiling information for Certificates of Conformity.
· Help prepare for and document internal audits, and assist in collecting KPIs for Engineering Teams.
· Learn to use tools like Jira and Confluence for process and project tracking.
Requirements
· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
· A strong interest in Quality Assurance, process improvement, and software development lifecycles.
· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in multicultural teams.
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
· Familiarity with quality concepts or standards (ISO, ASPICE) is a plus but not required.
