Overview
This Engineering Internship at Micron offers a rare opportunity to work directly in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will support a real production improvement project focused on extending equipment hardware life, while learning how process engineering decisions impact productivity and cost. Key Responsibilities
- Learn and operate Dry Etch TEL Vigus tools through structured on-the-job training
- Study dry etch process behavior and help troubleshoot process deviations
- Support analysis of electrostatic chuck performance to enable hardware life extension
- Assist in data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation of process results
- Contribute to experiment planning and design of experiments with engineers
- Collaborate with process engineers, equipment engineers, and technicians on daily problem-solving
- Help track project progress to meet qualification timelines and technical goals
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Available for a full-time, credit-bearing internship
- Interested in semiconductor manufacturing and process engineering
- Comfortable working in a production environment
- Willing to learn hands-on tools, data analysis, and troubleshooting
- Able to work well in a team and follow technical guidance
