Overview
HDB’s Community Partnerships Department (CPD) is offering an internship for students eager to gain hands-on experience in community engagement and volunteer management. As part of the team, you’ll support programmes that connect with seniors, including a new initiative for seniors living alone in Tengah. This role provides exposure to programme planning, stakeholder engagement, and impactful community work.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conceptualising volunteer activities aimed at engaging seniors living alone.
- Conduct research on best practices in senior engagement and community programmes.
- Support development of outreach strategies and training materials for volunteers.
- Coordinate programme planning and assist in execution of activities.
- Engage directly with volunteers and provide guidance during events.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure activities are inclusive and meaningful.
- Document outcomes and prepare reports to track programme effectiveness.
- Contribute ideas to enhance programme reach and resident participation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Social Sciences, Communications, or related fields.
- Interest in community work, volunteering, and senior engagement.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- Prior experience in volunteer programme planning or community engagement is a plus.
- Knowledge of gerontology or ageing-related initiatives is advantageous.
- Available for the internship period: May 2026 – August 2026.
