Sembcorp’s Water R&D Lab is offering an internship for students who want hands-on experience working with real industrial wastewater and treatment technologies. You’ll join a team of specialists who support Asia’s energy and sustainability ambitions, gaining exposure to lab-scale experiments and practical research work.

Key Responsibilities

Run bench- and pilot-scale lab experiments to test wastewater treatment performance
Support optimisation studies for existing treatment processes in lab conditions
Record observations and contribute to daily study reports
Assist in maintaining lab inventory, equipment cleanliness, and safe working conditions
Help monitor experiment progress and flag issues to engineers
Participate in small analysis projects to compare treatment results or efficiencies

Requirements

Studying Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or similar
Enjoys hands-on lab work and working with water samples
Curious, proactive, and open to learning new technical skills
Comfortable working in a wet laboratory environment
Basic proficiency in Excel and Word
