About the Role
As an Environmental Consulting Intern, you will support environmental site assessment (ESA) projects and gain hands-on exposure in field work, reporting, compliance, and environmental risk management. This role is ideal for students exploring careers in environmental engineering, science, geology, or environmental consulting.
You will work closely with experienced consultants and contribute to project deliverables while learning how environmental assessments are conducted in real industry settings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Support
- Assist team leads on ESA-related tasks
- Participate in field sampling for environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, etc.)
- Support site inspections, environmental audits, and data collection
2. Health, Safety & Risk Assessment
- Contribute to developing safety and health risk assessments for contaminated site projects
- Learn compliance and regulatory requirements in environmental management
3. Technical Reporting & Documentation
- Assist in preparing ESA technical reports
- Create figures, slides, and documentation required for project deliverables
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Work alongside experienced and dynamic environmental consultants
- Gain exposure to industry professionals and real client environments
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of environmental site assessment and remediation
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards is advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Other Requirements
- Comfortable working outdoors and travelling to field sites
- Must be a full-time enrolled student at a recognized institution
- Internship should contribute to credit requirements or academic progression
