Overview
This internship offers a unique opportunity to join IFF's creative Scent division, working at the intersection of science and art in fragrance design. You will be part of a sensory lab team at the Biopolis campus in Singapore, where you will prepare samples, conduct evaluations, and analyze data that directly contributes to the development of new and innovative fragrances. Key Responsibilities
· Prepare accurate and consistent product samples for professional sensory evaluation panels.
· Assist in designing, deploying, and managing sensory evaluation surveys and questionnaires.
· Analyze collected sensory data to identify trends and insights, creating clear post-evaluation reports with charts and summaries.
· Prioritize and manage daily laboratory tasks efficiently to meet project timelines and supervisor expectations.
· Maintain the laboratory workspace to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
· Support the team with additional ad-hoc tasks related to fragrance development and lab operations.
Requirements
· Currently pursuing a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.
· Possess basic laboratory experience and a strong understanding of lab safety protocols.
· A collaborative team player who is curious, proactive, and eager to learn new processes.
· Proficient in written and spoken English with strong basic computer skills (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate reliability.
