About the Role
Shopee’s Regional Marketplace Operations team sits at the heart of the business, driving initiatives that improve platform usability and enhance experiences for buyers, sellers, and partners across multiple markets.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyse operations, design scalable solutions, and implement process improvements that support Shopee’s rapid growth. You will gain exposure to core operational areas including Customer Service, Payments, Listings, Seller Operations, Returns & Refunds, and Fraud.
This position is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and building impactful solutions in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business needs and propose data-driven process or operational improvements
- Conduct market and operational research to support strategic planning and product development
- Evaluate existing systems and reporting capabilities to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Work with product, engineering, and regional teams to design, test, and implement new processes or system enhancements
- Support end-to-end project execution, including timeline tracking and cross-team coordination
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and user experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with expected graduation in 2025, or recent graduates
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis
- Strong ability to interpret datasets and translate insights into practical, scalable solutions
- Experience defining project objectives, timelines, and methodologies clearly
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving, and collaborative environment
- Curious, proactive, and open to new perspectives and problem-solving approaches
