Overview
URA’s Design & Planning Lab (DPLab) is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to support the Urban Planning & Design Technology Centre of Excellence (URBEX). The internship offers hands-on experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, managing data ingestion, and supporting users in transitioning to the PSDH Data Lakehouse platform. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of planners, analysts, and engineers to develop scalable solutions for urban planning challenges in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, building, and supporting data pipelines for the PSDH Data Lakehouse
- Support the ingestion of data from source systems, preparing analyses and documentation for management approval
- Facilitate user transition to PSDH by gathering requirements, coordinating timelines, and onboarding users
- Create and update technical documentation on pipeline processes, data migration, and best practices
- Collaborate with the DE team and stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant data operations
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, and data engineering concepts
- Interest in cloud-based data solutions, data governance, and pipeline management
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
- Preferred internship duration: May – August 2026 (3–4 months)
