Overview
Join the Cyber Security team at Marina Bay Sands and play an active role in protecting our integrated resort's digital infrastructure. As an intern, you will support the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC), helping to monitor, triage, and escalate potential threats while ensuring the health of security systems. This hands-on role offers foundational experience in cybersecurity operations within a critical, real-world environment.
What You'll Get Out of This Internship
· Gain practical, hands-on experience in a live Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) within a major hospitality and entertainment organization.
· Develop core skills in threat detection, incident triage, security tool monitoring, and initial response procedures.
· Receive direct mentorship from cybersecurity professionals while contributing to the protection of a large-scale network.
· Build a foundational understanding of security compliance, regulatory requirements, and incident management workflows.
· Learn to analyze security alerts, track vulnerabilities, and prepare operational metrics and reports.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and review alerts from cybersecurity tools, identifying and triaging potential security incidents.
· Escalate confirmed threats and tool failures promptly according to established CSOC runbooks and procedures.
· Support the investigation of security violations and breaches under the guidance of senior analysts.
· Assist in tracking and following up with stakeholders to resolve open security cases.
· Help prepare CSOC metrics, reports, and trending analyses on system health and threat activity.
· Stay informed about current vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies relevant to ongoing operations.
· Perform assigned weekend shifts on a rotational basis to support 24/7 security monitoring.
Requirements
· Must be a full-time matriculated student, and the internship must contribute to your school's graduation requirements.
· A strong positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a keen interest in cybersecurity.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure working environment.
· Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines, and establish cooperative working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
· No prior professional experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
