Overview
The Training Resource Management System (TRMS) is an integrated platform that centralises and automates the management of training operations. The system features:
- RFID-based access control and asset traceability
- Computer Vision (CV) weapon and equipment detection
- Centralised scheduling, inventory, and workflow automation
- Real-time operational monitoring and reporting
The project covers technical solutioning, software–hardware integration, system testing, and field deployment across multiple training environments.
Role Summary
As an Associate Technical Project Manager, you will support the design, development, integration, and deployment of the TRMS. This is a hands-on role bridging engineering, product, and operational teams. You will contribute to technical solutioning, oversee development progress, support RFID and CV system setup, and ensure the system meets operational and compliance requirements during deployment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Solution Design & Requirements Translation
- Participate in architecture and solution design discussions.
- Translate workflows and operational needs into technical specifications and system logic.
- Support the creation of architecture diagrams, integration flows, and API requirements.
- Validate that technical design decisions match real operational use cases.
2. Technical Oversight During Development
- Review prototypes, system logic, and in-progress feature builds.
- Conduct early-stage validation of features before formal QA.
- Track compliance against technical requirements and highlight gaps.
- Work closely with developers to refine workflows and resolve inconsistencies.
3. RFID System Setup, Testing & Validation
- Assist with deployment of all RFID components (readers, antennas, tags).
- Support door access, traceability setups, antenna calibration, and performance testing.
- Validate read accuracy, signal behaviour, and backend data flow.
- Troubleshoot hardware–software integration issues onsite.
4. Computer Vision (CV) Module Support
- Understand system behaviour, detection pipeline, and accuracy expectations.
- Assist with camera placement, lighting evaluation, and calibration.
- Support data collection and validation of CV models.
- Participate in onsite testing and document false positives/negatives for model improvement.
5. Technical Deployment & Commissioning
- Oversee installation of servers, network equipment, RFID devices, and CV cameras.
- Conduct pre-deployment checks and post-deployment validation.
- Support structured UAT and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment configs, and commissioning reports.
6. Project Execution & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Track technical milestones and manage project timelines.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, product, operations, and client stakeholders.
- Document technical decisions, workflows, test outcomes, and system behaviour.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation measures.
