Overview

Pacific Carriers Limited is looking for an Analysis & Research Intern to build a management-grade dashboard and support market research that informs senior decision-making. You’ll dig into freight market data, vessel performance and sustainability trends, turning raw information into clear insights and a working prototype to present to department heads.

Key Responsibilities

Design and prototype a management dashboard that highlights market and fleet KPIs for PCL leadership.
Research macroeconomic and freight-market developments and summarise their business impact.
Analyse vessel performance metrics and surface patterns for operational improvement.
Track adoption of energy-saving technologies in newbuilds and retrofits; quantify uptake where possible.
Scan industry initiatives and sustainability regulations; recommend implications for the fleet.
Compile clean data sets and produce concise slide decks for HOD review.
Present findings and the dashboard prototype to senior stakeholders at internship end.

Requirements

Currently studying Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or related field.
Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data interpretation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Good grasp of Excel (data tables, charts, simple modelling).
Curious, proactive, and able to work independently.
Comfortable presenting to senior audiences.
