Overview
Pacific Carriers Limited is looking for an Analysis & Research Intern to build a management-grade dashboard and support market research that informs senior decision-making. You’ll dig into freight market data, vessel performance and sustainability trends, turning raw information into clear insights and a working prototype to present to department heads.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype a management dashboard that highlights market and fleet KPIs for PCL leadership.
- Research macroeconomic and freight-market developments and summarise their business impact.
- Analyse vessel performance metrics and surface patterns for operational improvement.
- Track adoption of energy-saving technologies in newbuilds and retrofits; quantify uptake where possible.
- Scan industry initiatives and sustainability regulations; recommend implications for the fleet.
- Compile clean data sets and produce concise slide decks for HOD review.
- Present findings and the dashboard prototype to senior stakeholders at internship end.
Requirements
- Currently studying Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Strong analytical mindset and comfort with data interpretation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Good grasp of Excel (data tables, charts, simple modelling).
- Curious, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable presenting to senior audiences.
