Overview
This Backend Engineering Internship at HoYoverse offers final-year students the opportunity to work on global payment systems and internal finance tools for some of the world’s most popular games, including Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. You will gain hands-on experience building highly-scalable distributed systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, gaming-focused tech environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in developing and maintaining HoYoverse’s global payment systems
- Support internal finance and accounting software for end-to-end funds flow
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operations teams to deliver projects on time
- Ensure software quality via unit tests, integration tests, and stress tests
- Follow best practices for CI/CD, deployment, and data quality monitoring
- Safely handle sensitive user data using encryption and security standards
- Contribute to problem-solving and feature development in a collaborative environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, networking, OS, database, and security
- Familiarity with web backend development concepts, such as APIs and microservices
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang preferred)
- Passionate about learning new technologies and problem-solving
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in English and advanced Chinese
