Overview
This internship is with the TikTok Engineering Test Team, a group responsible for ensuring TikTok’s features are delivered to production with high quality, speed, and strong data protection standards. The team builds testing infrastructure and automation systems that support TikTok’s massive, fast-evolving product ecosystem.
This role is ideal for students who enjoy software engineering, automation, and quality-focused system design, and who want hands-on exposure to large-scale production systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure for API, UI, and web testing
- Design and support automated testing, continuous deployment, and telemetry systems
- Contribute to infrastructure technology decisions affecting scalability, reliability, security, and performance
- Support and improve developer workflows through tooling and automation
- Collaborate across teams to ensure testing infrastructure evolves with product needs
- Contribute ideas to the team roadmap and execution priorities
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong programming foundation and proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Java, Go, or PHP
Preferred Qualifications
- Good logical reasoning and communication skills
- Prior internship or experience in software testing or quality assurance is a plus
