This internship is part of Seagate’s Global Factory Information Technologies (GFIT) team, where digital solutions power smart manufacturing worldwide. You’ll work on real Generative AI applications that support factory operations, automation, and decision-making. The role offers hands-on exposure to how GenAI moves from experimentation into real industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

Prototype Generative AI models tailored to manufacturing and factory workflows

Integrate AI models with existing factory systems and data pipelines
Collaborate with engineers to turn AI concepts into usable tools
Evaluate model outputs to improve reliability and usefulness in production
Document experiments and present findings to technical stakeholders

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
Comfortable programming in Python
Basic understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts
Familiarity with natural language processing or Generative AI frameworks
Curious mindset and strong willingness to learn
Able to work independently while contributing to a team
