Overview
Lonza Singapore is offering a Biologics Trainee Internship under its Professional Conversion Program (PCP), providing hands-on exposure to advanced cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Interns will join the Tuas site’s Integrated Biologics team, gaining experience in therapeutic protein and cell therapy production under cGMP standards. This role emphasizes practical skills in cleanroom operations, cell culture, and aseptic processing while contributing to real-world biopharmaceutical manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and handle solutions, media, and reagents using aseptic techniques for production.
- Revive, culture, and maintain anchorage-dependent cell lines in sterile conditions.
- Participate in harvest, concentration, and formulation of therapeutic cell products.
- Assist in aseptic filling, vial inspection, and cryopreservation of final products.
- Support cleaning, sanitization, and monitoring of cleanroom environments and equipment.
- Conduct environmental monitoring and adhere to CGMP documentation requirements.
- Participate in process simulations and rotational shift operations.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure safe and efficient production workflows.
Requirements
- Diploma, degree, or NITEC in Science, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Strong interest in cell and gene therapy manufacturing.
- Willingness to work in a cleanroom and follow strict hygiene standards.
- Able to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and handling equipment up to 12 kg.
- Team-oriented, motivated, and eager to learn new technical skills.
- Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
