Overview
TikTok’s E-Commerce Business Growth – Data Compass team is looking for a Data Science Intern to help merchants and creators grow their businesses through data-driven insights. You’ll work on large-scale e-commerce data, building models and analyses that improve operations, marketing performance, and revenue growth across the platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Build data-driven solutions that improve efficiency for sellers, creators, and account managers
- Analyse merchant operations to identify growth opportunities in assortment, pricing, and CRM
- Support marketing optimisation by improving ROI across livestreams, videos, and shop features
- Develop features from large datasets such as transactions, user behaviour, and product graphs
- Apply machine learning techniques to solve forecasting, classification, and growth problems
- Run experiments to validate models and measure performance improvements
- Debug, refine, and deploy model pipelines in collaboration with the wider team
Requirements
- Current undergraduate or postgraduate student in a computing or data-related field
- Comfortable working with large datasets and turning raw data into useful features
- Able to code in Python and use data or ML tools such as Spark or PyTorch
- Familiar with basic machine learning concepts from coursework or projects
- Curious, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a team environment
- Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 3 months
