Overview
Shopee’s E-commerce Anti-Fraud Algorithm Team is focused on creating a safer and more reliable online shopping experience by preventing fraudulent transactions and low-quality products. This internship offers hands-on exposure to advanced anti-fraud systems, risk modeling, and large-scale AI solutions. You will collaborate with data science and risk control teams to develop and optimize algorithms that protect users and sellers while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing algorithms to detect fraudulent or abnormal transactions.
- Support the exploration and optimization of risk control models to enhance accuracy, recall, and scalability.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis on user behavior, merchant activities, and transaction patterns.
- Help build and refine real-time monitoring tools for proactive risk detection.
- Stay updated with emerging techniques in anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, and AI applications, applying them where appropriate.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related fields.
- Proficient in Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and basic machine learning concepts.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet) is a plus.
- Passion for applying algorithms to solve real-world e-commerce risk control problems.
- Detail-oriented, quick learner, with strong ownership and teamwork skills.
