Overview
Munich Re, a global leader in reinsurance and risk solutions, is offering an Actuarial Internship within the CLR Global Functional Leaders (GFL) Support and Business Process Management (BPM) Team from January to May 2026. This role places you at the intersection of actuarial analytics, process optimisation, and digital transformation—supporting global valuation teams as they enhance governance, efficiency, and transparency across Life & Health Re operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, validate, and manage datasets for experience studies and support technical model insights.
- Assist with performing univariate and multivariate analyses under actuarial guidance.
- Review valuation processes to spot bottlenecks and inefficiencies, summarising findings into clear insights.
- Contribute to automation efforts by supporting tool development and workflow enhancements.
- Develop reports, templates, and dashboards to improve transparency and KPI tracking.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and team-driven continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical thinking, with good communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with Life & Health insurance concepts is helpful but not required.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Python or R is an advantage.
- Bonus: knowledge of LLM tools, Business Process Management, Power BI, or Power Automate.
