As an Infrastructure Business Intern, you’ll work alongside industry specialists across commercial plant operations, environmental solutions, and business development. Responsibilities
- Support optimisation and improvement initiatives across Environment Business processes to enhance efficiency and operational workflows
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and evaluating new business opportunities in environmental and infrastructure sectors
- Contribute to deal management activities—conducting preliminary technical and financial assessments, risk reviews, and preparing documentation for management approval
- Build and maintain financial models to support investment analysis and ongoing project evaluations
- Participate in due diligence exercises and assist in the execution of transactions
- Prepare investment papers, presentation materials, and recommendation summaries for internal stakeholders
- Support marketing and commercial outreach efforts across the Environmental business
- Assist in researching emerging technologies, project setups, and potential M&A opportunities
Requirements
- Undergraduate studying Engineering, Business, Finance, Accountancy, or related fields
- Interest in sustainability sectors such as waste-to-energy, power systems, carbon capture, or environmental technologies
- Strong analytical thinking, with confidence in both technical and commercial evaluation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable conducting desktop research
- Interest in financial modelling
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work well both independently and within teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills
