Overview
This internship offers hands-on experience in Shopee’s merchant acquisition efforts across its marketplace and digital voucher platforms. Interns will engage directly with merchants, analyze market opportunities, and contribute to expanding Shopee’s presence in key sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Shopee to onboard merchants across various business models.
- Manage the end-to-end acquisition process, including lead generation, face-to-face pitches, negotiations, and store set-up.
- Identify market opportunities and white spaces through trend observation, competitor analysis, and industry research.
- Support Shopee’s growth and market leadership through strategic merchant engagement.
Key Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a recognized university or polytechnic.
- Creative, innovative, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Positive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong ownership of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging with partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Relevant experience in e-commerce is a plus.
- Industry knowledge in FMCG, Fashion, Lifestyle, or Electronics is advantageous.
- Full-time commitment (3–6 months) preferred; part-time interns (≥3 days/week) also considered.
