The Opportunity — Financial Services Organisation (FSO)
As an intern in EY’s Financial Services Organisation (FSO), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across international markets to deliver technology-focused risk solutions. EY is the only global professional services firm with a dedicated business exclusively serving the financial services sector, including:
- Asset management
- Banking and capital markets
- Insurance
- Private equity
This role provides hands-on exposure to technology risk, cybersecurity, and internal controls in fast-moving financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the team by:
- Delivering technology risk solutions across the design, implementation, rationalization, and remediation of controls for applications, infrastructure, and data.
- Applying EY’s proprietary methodologies to conduct internal controls diagnostics, support risk transformation initiatives, and perform internal controls testing (outsourcing or co-sourcing).
- Contributing to projects that enhance clients’ IT risk strategies, strengthen enterprise risk management, optimize risk functions, and improve governance and control processes.
- Supporting engagements that address information technology, information security, and third-party risk management.
Skills and Attributes for Success
We’re looking for individuals who:
- Are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Security, Information Technology, Technology Risk, or related fields
- Have experience or clear passion for technology risk, cybersecurity, digitalization, and can articulate processes, threats, and controls relevant to business and technology
- This passion may be demonstrated through academic projects, internships, competitions, conferences, or self-directed learning
- Have interest or experience in consulting, supported by relevant coursework or internships
- Show enthusiasm and capability in coding or scripting languages, such as Python, Java, etc.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and a willingness to learn in dynamic environments
