Overview
This sustainability-focused internship gives you the opportunity to support Marina Bay Sands’ waste management, recycling initiatives, and environmental innovation projects. You’ll work alongside the Sustainability team to improve operational practices, strengthen RSA compliance, and contribute directly to the resort’s long-term sustainability goals. It’s a hands-on role that blends operations, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and real environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day waste and recycling operations while helping the team monitor RSA compliance
- Assist in planning and executing sustainability projects, including trials, POCs, and departmental engagement
- Help conduct waste segregation trainings and briefings for teams and external partners
- Coordinate internal engagement programmes to strengthen sustainability awareness across departments
- Learn how bin centres, food waste treatment machines, and tracking systems operate and support improvements
- Compile and analyse waste data to produce clear presentations and updates for stakeholders
- Join kitchen inspections to observe compliance, recycling habits, and opportunities for improvement
- Research new technologies and sustainability best practices relevant to waste reduction and circular economy initiatives
- Support broader corporate sustainability efforts, including cross-property audits and reporting activities
Requirements
- Studying Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Project & Facilities Management, or a related field
- No prior experience needed—training and guidance will be provided
- Passionate about environmental issues and sustainability innovation
- Comfortable analysing data and explaining insights in simple terms
- Able to communicate well with people from different teams and backgrounds
- Organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
