Overview
Join ShopBack’s Operations team and help build automation tools that power one of Asia-Pacific’s largest shopping and rewards platforms. As an Operations Automation Engineer Intern, you’ll design and prototype automation workflows, transform datasets, and support the rollout of scalable process solutions. This role offers real engineering exposure within a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing workflows to identify automation opportunities and define solution strategies
- Develop Python-based scripts and data transformation pipelines to support operational needs
- Build rapid prototypes and MVPs using both traditional coding and low-code tools
- Convert prototypes into scalable solutions and support deployment across teams
- Integrate APIs to enable smooth data flow and system connectivity
- Conduct research on new automation technologies and present recommendations
- Work independently on assigned automation projects and provide regular progress updates
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure solutions fit business requirements
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data, or a related field
- Comfortable with Python, SQL, and basic software development practices
- Interested in automation, workflow optimisation, and data engineering
- Able to learn new tools quickly, including low-code platforms
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
- Curious, resourceful, and open to experimenting with new technologies
