Overview
Munich Re’s Southeast Asia Life & Health division is offering a Business Analytics Internship beginning August 2025. This role places you at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and insurance operations. As part of the analytics team in Singapore, you will work with real client datasets, build automated workflows, and develop insights that guide business decisions across the region. Key Responsibilities
- Automate data workflows and build scripts to clean and prepare client dataset inputs.
- Maintain and optimize SQL-based storage and retrieval systems to support efficient data analysis.
- Develop dashboards and visual reports using PowerBI, Excel, SQL, and Python.
- Support enhancements to the data pipeline through Databricks and Azure cloud tools.
- Experiment with and prototype GenAI-driven features for internal analytics apps.
- Work with regional offices to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent implementation.
- Handle documentation, process updates, and general support tasks for ongoing analytics initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics or similar discipline.
- Strong grounding in data analysis concepts, with proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Experience (or strong interest) in automation, Python scripting, or data engineering.
- Familiarity with PowerBI for visualization and dashboard design.
- Knowledge of life insurance principles is useful but not mandatory.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to learn new tools and technologies.
