Overview

Activate Interactive is looking for a DevOps Intern to support the engineering team in building smooth, reliable, and automated development environments. In this role, you’ll work closely with DevOps engineers to learn how modern software teams manage infrastructure, automate workflows, and keep applications running efficiently. It’s a hands-on opportunity to explore cloud, CI/CD, and automation in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments
Support infrastructure setup, configuration, and operational upkeep
Write and refine scripts that automate repetitive tasks and processes
Help monitor system performance and respond to alerts to ensure reliability
Contribute to improving workflow efficiency by suggesting automation opportunities
Work with developers to ensure smooth integration between code and infrastructure
Document processes, tools, and system changes for easy reference
Apply DevOps principles to improve build, testing, and deployment practices

Requirements

Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or JavaScript)
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Familiarity with Git and the software development lifecycle
Willing to learn cloud computing concepts (AWS/Azure experience is a plus)
Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to experiment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Currently studying Computer Science, IT, or a related field
