We are seeking a Data Science & AI Intern to support the development of advanced models and data solutions for predictive analytics, trading strategy, and global product flow analysis. This internship offers exposure to modeling, AI-driven frameworks, ETL pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration, providing a comprehensive experience in data science within the agricultural commodity sector.
Key Responsibilities
Modeling & AI Innovation
- Improve existing production models and explore new approaches to enhance reliability and resilience.
- Analyze tanker and commodity datasets to support supply-demand modeling and trading strategies.
- Implement AI-driven frameworks, including agent-based methodologies, for predictive analytics.
Data Integration & Quality
- Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Technical Development
- Develop, refactor, and maintain ETL pipelines for robust data integration.
- Create scalable Python software solutions emphasizing automation and workflow scheduling.
- Follow CI/CD practices, automated testing, and peer reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams (data scientists, trading teams, developers, product managers) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Document methodologies and present findings to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, analytics, visualization, automation, and dashboard development.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Familiarity with AI agentic frameworks or willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Machine Learning techniques and Time Series analysis.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, warehousing, and Microsoft Excel.
- Bonus: Experience with PowerBI or Dash.
Analytical Skills
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
