Job Description
As a Sustainability Data Intern, you will support CapitaLand’s global sustainability initiatives by assisting with data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will gain hands-on exposure to sustainability performance tracking, reporting frameworks, and global property operations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Reporting
- Gather, organise, and analyse sustainability data from global properties, focusing on KPIs such as energy, waste, and carbon emissions.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of sustainability data from operational teams.
Data Accuracy & Quality Assurance
- Perform data quality checks to verify completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify discrepancies and work with property teams to resolve issues.
System Onboarding & Platform Support
- Assist in onboarding new properties to UL 360 and Greenview Portal platforms.
- Guide property teams through setup, data entry, and troubleshooting processes.
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track sustainability performance in real-time.
- Support preparation of periodic sustainability reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a point of contact for property teams regarding sustainability data and reporting platforms.
- Research sustainability trends and best practices to recommend improvements in data collection and reporting.
Ad-hoc Project Support
- Assist with various sustainability initiatives and contribute to the implementation of new programs or processes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with data analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R is a plus).
- Experience with UL 360 or Greenview Portal is highly desirable, or ability to quickly learn new software tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a global team.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, SDGs) is a plus but not required.
- Interest in sustainability and environmental impact, with willingness to learn and contribute.
