Overview
SPH Media, Singapore’s largest omnichannel media network, is seeking a Security Operations Intern to join its cybersecurity team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to modern cybersecurity operations, from threat research and incident response to security tool evaluation and data visualization. Interns will learn how real-world defenses are designed, tested, and improved while contributing to projects that safeguard the company’s digital ecosystem.
What You’ll Get Out of This Internship

Key Responsibilities
- Threat Research & Intelligence: Monitor emerging threats, gather and analyse threat data, and contribute to threat profiling and reporting.
- Incident Response Support: Assist in documenting and analysing security incidents, supporting triage using SIEM/SOAR tools, and participating in post-incident reviews.
- Breach & Attack Simulation: Plan and execute controlled attack simulations, identify detection gaps, and propose improvements to security monitoring.
- Security Tool Review: Evaluate security platforms, document findings, and provide recommendations for optimization or integration.
- Visualization & Reporting: Develop dashboards and visual reports to communicate threat trends, incident metrics, and simulation results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Strong interest in cybersecurity with analytical and investigative skills.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, Windows/Linux operating systems, and common attack techniques.
- Basic understanding of SIEMs, EDR tools, or threat intelligence workflows.
- Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Effective communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred:
- Exposure to MITRE ATT&CK framework, Sigma rules, or YARA rules.
- Experience with packet analysis (Wireshark) or log parsing (ELK/Splunk).
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Kibana.
- Coursework or lab experience in digital forensics, malware analysis, or SOC operations.

- Location: 1000 Toa Payoh North, Singapore
- Work Arrangement: Onsite
- Duration: Minimum 6 months starting January 2026
- Allowance: SGD 1,200/month
