Overview
This internship places you within TikTok’s Server Architecture Change & Risk Platform team, where large-scale system updates are designed, tested, and deployed safely across global services. You will help build tools and platforms that make complex technical changes more reliable, automated, and low-risk for one of the world’s most-used digital products.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and improvement of systems that reduce risks during large-scale technical changes
- Help standardize how services are updated to lower incident rates during deployments
- Contribute to tools that enable gradual rollouts and faster detection of system issues
- Assist in building platforms that automate change execution with minimal manual intervention
- Participate in impact analysis to identify how changes affect system performance and stability
- Improve quality checks that detect abnormal behavior before changes go live
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to support scalable, cross-domain solutions
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Comfortable with core CS concepts like operating systems, networks, and data structures
- Able to code in at least one backend language such as Python, Java, Go, or C++
- Enjoys solving technical problems and learning how large systems work
- Can communicate ideas clearly and work well in a team
- Curious, proactive, and willing to take ownership of tasks
