Overview
This internship with Shopee’s Data Infrastructure team gives you the chance to work behind the scenes of one of Southeast Asia’s largest e-commerce platforms. You will help build and improve the core big data systems that power reporting, analytics, and machine learning across the business. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance components of Shopee’s big data platforms and analytics engines
- Support systems that handle large volumes of batch and real-time data processing
- Work with teammates to integrate new tools, features, and improvements
- Help monitor system stability, performance, and reliability
- Investigate and resolve technical issues in data pipelines or services
- Contribute ideas to improve system design, scalability, and efficiency
- Document solutions and share learnings with the team
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Comfortable coding in at least one language such as Java, Scala, or C++
- Basic understanding of big data concepts and distributed systems
- Familiarity with tools like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, or databases is helpful
- Willingness to learn complex systems and new technologies
- Able to think logically and troubleshoot technical problems
