Overview
Join Manulife/John Hancock as a Finance & Actuarial Intern and gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting and forecasting processes. You’ll work closely with the Finance and Actuarial teams to support monthly NBV reporting, contribute to forecasting exercises, and assist senior leaders in analyzing the company’s financial performance. This internship provides a practical view of how strategic decisions are informed by data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare NBV reports and supporting materials for monthly management meetings.
- Assist in submitting timely monthly and quarterly financial reports for review by senior leadership.
- Participate in forecast discussions and provide input to finance and actuarial planning exercises.
- Help improve reporting processes and templates to enhance efficiency and clarity.
- Contribute to team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating on priorities.
- Provide ad hoc support to other Actuarial Business Management projects as needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Available for a 3–4 month internship between May and August 2026.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Python, R, or VBA is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well both independently and in a team.
