Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio, visual, lighting, and conferencing equipment for events
- Ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly, performing simple cleaning or repairs when needed
- Secure, organize, and tape down cables to maintain a safe and clean event environment
- Check room setups and equipment deliveries against event orders and report discrepancies
- Support guests with equipment usage and recommend suitable AV services when appropriate
- Monitor event operations and step in when technical assistance is required
- Break down, pack, and store AV equipment after events
- Follow operational procedures outlined in the Marriott Visual Productions (MVP) SOP manual
Requirements
- Must be a current student enrolled in a college or university
- Comfortable learning technical equipment and asking questions when unsure
- Strong communication skills and a helpful, guest-focused attitude
- Able to work on your feet and handle light equipment
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately
- Interested in hospitality, events, or hotel operations
