About the Global Internship Program
The program is designed to provide:
- Hands-on Experience working directly on AIIB projects and operational tasks.
- Professional Development through collaboration with experienced MDB professionals.
- Exposure to Infrastructure Financing, including challenges and opportunities across Asia.
- Networking Opportunities with global leaders in development, finance, and policy.
Internship Tracks
AIIB offers two structured pathways:
1. Corporate Internship
Focused on project-based work aligned with AIIB's business needs.
Interns may participate in:
- Collaborative Projects (teams of 2–3 interns developing innovative solutions)
- Individual Projects (independently managing project assignments and deliverables)
2. Research/Academic Internship
Ideal for students engaged in research-intensive academic study.
- Flexible format: hybrid or onsite
- Involves producing research, analysis, and strategic papers supporting AIIB’s mission.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a full-time master’s or doctoral program at an internationally recognized institution, with plans to return after the internship.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant experience (internships, summer roles) is a plus but not required.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Open to applicants of all nationalities.
Compensation & Support
- Interns will receive USD 90 per workday.
- Roundtrip flight ticket to Beijing provided for onsite internships.
