Overview
Join Glencore’s trading and risk management team in Singapore and gain hands-on experience in the world of commodities trading. As an intern, you’ll support desk risk management and quantitative analysis initiatives, working directly with oil trading desks and gaining exposure to both physical and financial market operations. Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile trades and ensure accurate capture of physical and financial transactions.
- Generate desk MTM (mark-to-market) reports and forward curve analyses.
- Produce pricing, market, and position reports for traders and management.
- Collaborate with finance teams on accounting and trade compliance matters.
- Track physical trade movements and update systems accordingly.
- Assist in building reports, metrics, and dashboards for analytics and risk purposes.
- Support process improvement projects to optimize trading workflows and reporting.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in STEM, finance, or business/financial engineering.
- Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Basic coding experience is a plus but not required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and work independently when needed.
