Overview
Siemens Mobility is shaping the next era of smart, sustainable transportation across rail and urban mobility systems worldwide. In Singapore, the Rail Infrastructure team delivers automation, electrification, and digital mobility solutions used by cities across the globe. As a Commercial Bid Intern, you will support the team behind major mobility tenders and gain hands-on exposure to how large-scale transport projects are evaluated, costed, and brought to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Contribute to commercial bid preparation by supporting calculations, documentation, and internal coordination across procurement and technical teams.
- Build templates and propose automation ideas that improve efficiency and consistency in the bidding process.
- Analyse historical and forecast cost data to support pricing decisions and strategic scenario planning.
- Review supplier quotations, validate internal resourcing inputs, and help ensure bid calculations remain accurate and compliant.
- Assist the Commercial Bid Manager with daily operational tasks and cross-functional alignment.
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Management, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with confidence working across multiple teams.
- Solid proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas), PowerPoint, and ideally SAP; VBA knowledge is a plus.
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multicultural team.
- Eligible to work in Singapore (Valid Student Pass or WHP criteria).
