Overview
Join the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) as an Intern and gain hands-on experience in strategic, citizen-centric communications. You will support the Department’s corporate communication initiatives, including media engagement, digital campaigns, and stakeholder interactions, while helping identify emerging trends and opportunities to inform proactive communications strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing communication campaigns for departmental initiatives
- Monitor emerging issues and trends, and provide insights to support pre-emptive communications
- Create engaging content for social media, press releases, and internal/external communications
- Support the Director in stakeholder engagement activities and inter-agency collaborations
- Conduct basic data analysis to inform strategy and improve campaign effectiveness
- Manage media lists, track coverage, and evaluate campaign impact
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of communications projects
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Media, Public Relations, or related fields
- Strong interest in strategic communications, media relations, and digital trends
- Proficiency in English and Malay, both written and spoken
- Basic data analysis and digital communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and presentation abilities
- Able to work under pressure and flexible to work weekends/public holidays
- Team-oriented and eager to learn from experienced professionals
