Overview
This internship places you at the heart of Thales’ Industry 4.0 initiatives, working alongside automation and process engineers to enhance robotics integration within a real manufacturing environment. You’ll support ongoing projects, contribute to simulation development, and assist in documenting solutions that enable smooth handovers after implementation.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with robotics and process engineers to support ongoing automation projects
- Build and refine simulation environments for robots to test workflows safely and efficiently
- Assist in programming and optimising 6-DOF collaborative robots and autonomous mobile robots
- Document solutions, configurations, and processes to support smooth project handovers
- Help prepare technical notes, diagrams, and workflow documentation for internal use
- Contribute to troubleshooting, testing, and validating robotics setups
- Support general engineering tasks and ad hoc project activities as needed
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding a Diploma/Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a robotics-related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Hands-on experience working with COBOTs and AMRs
- Familiar with Fusion360 or other 3D modelling tools (advantage)
- Experience creating robotics simulation environments is a plus
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable working in a practical engineering environment
