Overview
Join Thales’ Industry 4.0 engineering team and get hands-on exposure to robotics, automation, and digital manufacturing. As a Robotics Integration & Simulation Intern, you’ll support engineers in developing, testing, and documenting robotic workflows that enhance productivity across real manufacturing environments. You’ll work closely with robotics, automation, and process specialists to build practical solutions used across Thales’ operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support engineers in integrating robotics solutions into manufacturing processes
- Build and maintain robotic simulation environments to test motion paths and workflows
- Assist with programming and fine-tuning COBOTs and AMRs for operational tasks
- Document system configurations, test results, and technical processes for handover
- Contribute to additive (FDM) and subtractive (CNC) manufacturing activities
- Analyse workflow performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency
- Participate in onsite testing and troubleshooting of robotics setups
- Provide support for ongoing engineering tasks and ad hoc project needs
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s studies in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics-related fields
- Interest in robotics programming and industrial automation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with COBOTs or AMRs is a plus
- Familiarity with Fusion360 or other 3D modelling software preferred
- Bonus: exposure to robotics simulation platforms (e.g., Gazebo, RoboDK, Isaac Sim)
