Overview
Join SeaGate’s Big Data and Analytics team as a Data Engineering Intern and contribute to the development and management of large-scale data platforms supporting our global manufacturing operations. You will work closely with engineers and business analysts to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, machine learning workflows, and analytics platforms that power insights across multiple regional sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Build, scale, and optimize machine learning pipelines for predictive analytics applications
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to design end-to-end data solutions
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure system performance and reliability
- Support data orchestration using tools such as Apache Airflow
- Write and optimize queries using Presto/Trino to meet stakeholder needs
- Participate in project planning, ensuring timelines are met and tasks are coordinated
- Contribute to code reviews and share knowledge to foster a culture of technical excellence
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with big data frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCS, or similar)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for learning new technologies and applying them to real-world challenges
