Overview
Launch your career in banking with Standard Chartered’s SME Banking Apprenticeship Programme. Over 12 months, you’ll support Relationship Managers in managing and growing small and medium enterprise clients, gaining hands-on exposure to banking products, client onboarding, and business credit processes, while building essential skills in customer engagement and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Relationship Managers in acquiring and retaining SME clients through proactive outreach and account management.
- Assist in the end-to-end onboarding of SME clients, ensuring smooth product and lending programme processes.
- Collaborate with Credit Analysts to prepare business credit applications and annual client reviews.
- Learn and apply knowledge of SME banking products to provide informed support to clients.
- Gather and relay client feedback to help improve products and processes.
- Support sales activities and contribute to closing transactions while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- Diploma graduates from any polytechnic discipline with less than 2 years’ work experience.
- Permanent legal right to work in Singapore.
- Interest in banking, finance, and SME client services.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence in phone-based client engagement.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work well in a team.
- Organised, responsive, and accountable in handling client and internal requests.
