Overview
Dyson’s internship places you in the Technology & Systems Integration team within RDD (Research, Design & Development), where you’ll work on advanced engineering challenges related to acoustics, fluid dynamics, thermal performance, structural behavior, and systems engineering. You’ll support the development of next-generation Dyson technologies through experiments, simulations, and analytical work.
What You’ll Do
- Test, simulate, and evaluate prototypes focusing on acoustics performance and structural/thermal behavior.
- Conceptualize and propose design modifications to optimize product performance.
- Develop analytical tools, models, and improved test methods to drive leaner and more reliable analysis.
- Investigate technical issues by collecting data, analyzing root causes, and proposing solutions.
- Work with cross-functional engineers across global RDD teams.
- Apply systems engineering approaches to refine product technologies.
Who They’re Looking For
- Students currently pursuing Mechanical, Aerospace, Acoustics, Materials Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Individuals eager to solve complex and ambiguous engineering problems.
- Familiarity with:
- Structural characterization techniques
- CAD tools
- CAE / simulation software
- Statistical analysis tools
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
What You’ll Gain
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge engineering and prototype development.
- Mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to Dyson’s RDD culture.
- Opportunities for structured performance reviews and career development.
- Potential fast-track into Dyson’s graduate programme for high performers.
