Role Overview
As a Global Factory IT Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, and cloud technologies while contributing to key projects that drive Seagate’s manufacturing innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned tasks and projects, participating in planning and execution.
- Assist senior developers in development, QA activities, and documentation.
- Contribute to the design and development of MES services, APIs, and application migration projects.
- Work with Kafka messaging platform to implement producer/consumer solutions.
- Assist in migrating applications to AWS and support regression environments and testing.
- Present project progress during meetings, providing updates and insights.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Intermediate knowledge in Java, JavaScript, Python, and development environments such as VS Code, IntelliJ, or NetBeans.
- Novice knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, shell scripting (CMD, bash/sh), microservices, and APIs.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Oracle, Postgres, AWS, and basic ML/analytics is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Curious, inventive, and motivated to learn in a collaborative environment.
