Overview
AKA is seeking a Communications Intern to support account, media, and influencer management while contributing to creative campaigns and client projects. This role provides hands-on experience in an integrated communications agency, offering exposure to account handling, media monitoring, copywriting, shoots, events, and new business development.

Key Responsibilities
Account Support
- Attend client meetings, draft agendas, and prepare contact reports
- Maintain records of editorial coverage and compile project/monthly reports
- Provide proactive suggestions to account teams
Media Monitoring & Relations
- Conduct daily media monitoring and flag relevant trends
- Build and maintain media and influencer relations
- Support pitching of stories, partnerships, and collaborations
- Update and manage media/influencer databases
Copywriting & Creative Support
- Research and draft press releases, newsletters, advertorials, and social media content
- Contribute to video and photoshoot preparations and support on-site logistics
Events & Shoots
- Coordinate events, liaising with suppliers and managing logistics
- Assist in assembling media packs and updating client teams on progress
New Business Development
- Conduct research for new business pitch decks
- Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions
Requirements
- Current communications student or recent graduate from a local university
- Available to commit to at least 4 months (from September onwards)
- Strong interest in media, PR, and communications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
